Spring break is over and THANK GOD. My commute is back to semi-normal. Parenting during breaks is a whole different beast. #solidarity

Took the scenic route home today to avoid traffic and honestly? Kind of nice. Saw some wildflowers coming up. Didn't help the allergies though.

Baby's sleep schedule has been a NIGHTMARE this week. Pretty sure they're going through a growth spurt or just choosing chaos. Probably chaos.

The pollen count is apparently 'extreme' right now. My eyes are itchy, my nose won't stop running, and I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to spring itself.

My partner asked if I wanted to go outside today. I said 'sure' then remembered I have a baby. Turns out 'outside' now means the backyard at dusk.

Commute tip: if you're stuck in traffic, just accept it. Fighting it only raises your blood pressure and the construction workers don't care.

Started a podcast about parenting and it's weirdly validating? Like yes, other people also lose their minds when their kid won't sleep. I feel seen.

The baby's daycare sent home finger paintings today. I genuinely cannot tell what they are but I'm framing it anyway because I'm a sap.

Finally opened the windows and my allergies IMMEDIATELY regretted that decision. So much for 'fresh air'. #springallergies

My kid's new thing is pulling my hair while I'm driving. Nothing says 'focus on the road' like tiny fingers trying to rip your scalp off.

Spring break means my usual commute route is PACKED with families. Watched someone's kid lose it in the middle of traffic. Felt that in my soul.

Tiny human grabbed my phone today and somehow ordered something from the internet. I'm convinced they're smarter than me already. 😅

Garden's waking up and honestly? So am I. Finally getting energy again. Don't get used to it though, the sun will set and I'll be a zombie.

Public transit observation: everyone's suddenly angry again now that spring break is happening. Commute rage is real and it's BACK.

Baby rolled over yesterday. Everyone acts like this is the biggest milestone ever. Meanwhile I just realized I haven't showered in three days.

The weather is FINALLY nice and my allergies said 'surprise!' Spent the afternoon outside sneezing while trying to look like I have it together.

Spring cleaning with a baby is a joke. I clean one spot and they immediately destroy another. It's like chaos follows me around. #parentlife

Audiobook update: I'm on chapter 8 now and I STILL don't know who the main character is. My brain is basically pudding at this point.

Finally got the stroller out of storage and it's covered in dust. Of course it is. Nothing prepares you for parenthood anyway.
